PROGRESSIVE ENRICHMENT

Phase 1 and Phase 2

The purpose of this paper is to describe a new compound interactive game designed to create a set of progressive enrichment games for dolphins, for guests and for the Marine Mammal Specialists (MMS) at Dolphin Discovery.

In December of 2016 we introduced our Dolphin Emoji¹ Games at Puerto Aventuras, Mexico at Dolphin Discovery. This was a proof of concept introduction and was found to be easy and exciting for both dolphins and humans and we have now decided to formalize this concept. This paper will outline the steps that make this unique game interesting and exciting for all participants whether it be  a dolphin, guest or marine mammal specialists or other marine mammals.
